4th Annual Federation Charity Golf Classic - A HUGE SUCCESS!

ANOTHER YEAR DONE! The Federation co-sponsored golf classic held on August 17th at Goose Hummock Golf Resort, Gibbons, Alberta is done for another year, but the benefits will live on.   

In true Alberta style, the weather started out questionable, then turned to a glorious day - encouraging fun on the golf course with many notable guests in attendance, including Premier Ed Stelmach. Everyone played a part in the success of this tournament and an appreciative thank you goes to those who helped make this event a memorable one again this year. Through a combination of registration fees, sponsorships, donations, raffles, and a Hole in One - the very first for our tournament - a total of $33,000 was donated to the MS Society of Canada, Alberta Division. The money raised helps fund programs for rural Albertans. 

"Contributions to the Alberta Chapter of the MS Society helps fund the mission to find a cure and enhance the life of those afflicted with multiple sclerosis. Outreach initiatives supporting rural Albertans afflicted with MS are supported through media awareness campaigns, ambassador leadership programs, and the recognition of beneficial partnerships, such as the one the MS Society has with our own organizations (Federation of Alberta Gas Co-ops and the Alberta Federation of REAs).
